The Nike Air Foamposite Pro University Red is the Foamposite in a bright red shell, one of the boldest colorways on a silhouette that was radical to begin with. Buy it if you want the shoe Nike built by pouring liquid polyurethane into a mold rather than cutting and sewing panels.
The upper is a single molded Foamposite shell with no seams anywhere, over a carbon fiber shank and a Zoom Air unit in the heel. Nothing else in sneakers is built this way, and the red version makes the molded construction more obvious than the darker colorways do.
Best for collectors who value engineering over colorway, and for anyone drawn to the Foamposite era of nineties basketball design. Foamposites fit large and take several wears to break in, so most people go down a half size.
